This Community Warning Policy outlines our community guidelines, how to report violations, our moderation approach, and the consequences for breaches. By participating in the MarisMetrics community, you agree to uphold these standards.

Community Guidelines

All members must engage with kindness, professionalism, and respect. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment, bullying, or personal attacks
  • Hate speech, discrimination, or derogatory comments based on race, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic
  • Sharing of explicit, graphic, or sexually inappropriate content
  • Promotion of self-harm, suicide, or harmful behaviours
  • Medical misinformation that could endanger patients or colleagues
  • Spam, advertising, or commercial solicitation
  • Any content that violates privacy or shares confidential patient information

Reporting Violations

Report content or user issues immediately via the in-app tool. Every report is promptly reviewed by the moderation team. After you submit a report, our team will investigate the issue and take appropriate action if necessary. You may receive an update regarding the outcome of your report, depending on the situation. We rely on you to uphold community safety.

Moderation Approach

Moderation is both compassionate and unwavering. We use technology and human review to enforce safety. If content violates the guidelines, we may remove or hide it, issue a warning, or suspend the user's ability to post.

For example, if a user posts a comment that contains personal attacks, our moderation system may flag the message for review. A moderator will then assess the context and, if the guideline is found to be violated, remove the comment and may issue a warning. If there are repeated violations, further actions, such as a temporary suspension or permanent removal, may be taken. This process aims to be fair, impartial, and clearly communicated to all community members.

Possible moderation actions include:

  • Issue a warning
  • Temporarily suspend the user's ability to post
  • Permanent bans apply in serious or repeated cases

We respond with fairness and transparency at all times.

Consequences for Violations

Serious or repeated violations result in suspension or permanent removal. We reserve the right to remove any content or user that compromises our community.

Appeals Process

Appeals regarding content removal or account suspension must be submitted through the in-app support form. Please include your username, the issue details, and any relevant supporting information to help us thoroughly review your appeal. All appeals are reviewed by a senior team member. You can expect a response to your appeal within 5 business days. We will notify you of our decision and any next steps.
